This week the Warblers travelled to Font del Llop on a sunny warm day and found the course in excellent condition. Well done to all the staff. There were twenty six members and one Guest Gary Edgeley who received a Warbler golf ball, although he did get told off for wearing his golf cap round the wrong way. It was all done with a bit of humour and he was made to feel very welcome.

   There were two divisions today and we will start with Div 2 where the winner Roy "Driver" Booth (Hcap 20.9) had a fantastic par breaking score of 41pts, well done Roy. In second place was Barbara Pollitt (Hcap 22.5) with 34pts, third place went to Glyn Walters (Hcap 25.4). The winner of Div 1 was in form Vicki "Long drive" Loeber (Hcap 16.6) with another par breaking score of 38 pts well done again Vicki. Second place went to Glynn "bang in form" Braidley (Hcap 9.7) with 36pts. David French (Hcap 10.8) was third with 34pts.

  Four nearest the pins went to Chris Williamson hole 3, Allan Wilson hole 8, Arthur Sullivan hole 12 and Barbara Pollitt on hole 16. One two was achieved today by Chris Williamson on hole 3. There was one singles match between Glynn Braidley and Glyn Walters with Glynn just winning a tight game 2 up. The winning football card team was Wolves won again by the Captain David Knight, cries of "it's a FIX" rang out from the members. Well done to all our winners today, "I couldn't be more pleased for you".

   Next week the Warblers will be playing at Alicante with a first tee at 10-00am so please arrive by 9-15am for registration.
