This week the warblers traveled to Alicante Golf finding the course in good condition although the Greens were quite slow. There were Twenty Members and one Guest, Shaun Littler who was made to feel very welcome.
We had two divisions today and top in Div 1 and also top player of the day was John Stent (HDCP 17.7) with the only par breaking score of 37pts well done John. Second with 36pts was John Daniels (HDCP 17.6), in third place with 31pts was Michael Morley (HDCP 9.2). First place in Div 2 went to David Edwards (HDCP 26.3) with 33pts, second with 32pts was Peter Gibson (HDCP 22.5) and in third place was the surprised Roger "I don't believe it" Vicars (HDCP 20.7).
The winners of the nearest the pins were David French on hole 3, David French again on the 12th and Captain Dave on the 17th hole. The football card winner was John Daniels with Manchester United.
There was one doubles match today between Michael Morley and David Edwards against David French and Arthur Sullivan. An incredible game saw them all square standing on the 18th tee when Michael, David F and Arthur all hit their balls out of bounds TWICE, luckily David Edwards hit his drive down the middle BUT then hit his second out of bounds. He was the hero though winning the hole with an 8 and a net 7 !!!!!! making David E and Michael Morley the winners 1 up ( WOW ). Congratulations to all our winners today.
