28 Golfers descended on a changed venue to Bonalba golf course to find it in remarkable condition than was expected for the 2019 presidents cup due to recent heavy rains.
Two guests we warmly welcomed having travelled from Sanibel Island off the Florida coast Mr and Mrs Nichols, Mr Nichols having remarked that he hit ever bunker on the course and was not going to file a return, I suppose living on a beach, what does one expect.
Blue skies and chilly winds were the order of the day, but this did not stop some great scores

With hot on his heals were Glynn Waters on 40 points. Fred Cooley 39 points also getting a nearest the pin and properly still shaking on missing a hole in one with his ball on the edge of the hole on the par 3. 11th a great shot Fred.
Next on the podium was Peter Gibson with 39 points but losing on count back 5th was Steve Smith on 36 points taking the spot, on count back from Paddy Kenmore and Denis Coe on 34 points
Nearest the pins were won by Steve Smith Arthur Sullivan Bob Edwards and of course Fred Cooley

Earlier this week was Barbara Pollitt’s birthday, happy Birthday Barbara who gave 2 bottles one in each division who in her words golfers who propped up the divisions
