Magnificent Chris at El Plantio with wonder Score
The Warblers travelled to El Plantio this week to a much improving course with work still continuing. Well done to the green staff for presenting beautiful surroundings and good greens. There were twenty members present and one guest Andy Taylor who was made to feel very welcome by us all and the Captain presented him with a coveted Orba Warbler ball.
We all thought it was just a routine stableford not knowing what was going to happen to one of our players Chris Williamson. He played one of those rounds we all dream of but get no were near it. He is now the new record holder of the most stableford points in the 21 year history of the Society with a mind boggling 49pts a Gross score of 1 under par 71. What an emotional day for Chris and the Society.
On Presentation Chris was given a Standing Ovation by everyone there in recognition of his achievement.
