FontDeLlop 26062019

25 Golfers took the longish trip to Font de Llop with increasing temperatures as they drove down the AP7 and by the time the first golfers were on the first tee it was soaring and going to be a hot day but what was unknown was the hot scores to follow.

The course was in immaculate condition, but the greens were slow, obviously being protected as the grass had not been cut to its normal, obviously concerns over the forecasted heatwave

That did not put off a fantastic hot round from John Daniels with a nearest the pin on hole 12 and 42 points to take division one. Back on the podium for the second week running was David knight but 5 points away from the winner on 37 points 3rd spot went to new warbler Paul Gilbert with 36 points

Division 2 was 2 out of three for the ladies. A great round of 38 points from Barbara Pollitt chased hard but losing out in second spot was DB on 35 and what must be fully recovered Jan Wilson on 34. Points

The other nearest the pin was taken by Michael Taylor on hole 3

80% of the players were inn then mid 30s

Monti’s 2s were not won so it’s another rollover, may have to get Securicor in if it’s no won soon.

The football card was won by this week’s division 2 winner Barbra Pollitt throwing her winnings straight into the charity account

 Thanks Barbara

We say goodbye for a while to the Wilson and the Dickinson's as they venture off to other parts of the globe.

Good news on our member Linda Coe who is now awaiting an operation in the next couple of weeks to eliminate her problem we all wish her well and a speedy recovery

Next week’s match has been changed to Foresoss 9.45 for 10 30 tee 1 start
