On a day of mixed weather of cloud, sunshine and strong wind John Daniels played it cool all the way turning in 37 points to win the Bonalba Cup which was presented to him by last years winner Derek Gray who came a gallent 4th with 33 points.
Steve Cliffe was always in the hunt and finished 2nd with 35 points. Julian Leckie always a contender on 33 points edged Derek Gray out of 3rd place on count back.
Arthur Sullivan was 5th with 31 points again on count back with Peter Gibson 6th on 31 points.
Nearest the pins was John Daniels on hole 4 and 11 and had to be assisted in carrying all his wine and the trophy to the car.
Dennis Coe bagged it on the 14th.
Julian Leckie had it on the eighth and just to make his day complete he took the pot of thirty euro’s on Malcolm Monti’s two’s.
There were two single matches Peter Gibson won 5 and 4 over Michael Taylor and David French won 2 and 1 over David Baggaley who hasn’t stopped crying over the three easy putts he missed.
